Neck Lift New York | Neck Lift Surgery NYC
AESTHETIC NEWS
One of the cosmetic procedures that adult New Yorkers are increasingly asking about is the neck lift, which is used to eradicate sagging or drooping skin, along with prominent wrinkles, in the neck and jowl region.
Dr. Loeb has had enormous success performing neck lifts on patients, restoring a sleek, smooth, more youthful firmness to the neck. He recently appeared on a local New York NBC News program to discuss the neck lift procedure, its benefits, and which patients it might be right for.
NBC News interviewed one of Dr. Loeb’s patients, Marlene Baum, who echoes the concerns of many in the baby boomer generation by saying, “When I look in the mirror, I see extra wrinkles that should be gone. It doesn’t match with the rest of me and how I feel.”
Baum goes on to explain her interest in the neck lift procedure by saying, “I exercise, I eat right, I’m in good physical shape, and then when I see my neck, it doesn’t look like something that belongs to me.”
A leading plastic surgeon in NYC, Dr. Loeb reports that the neck lift procedure “moves the clock back 6, 8, 10 years.”
As the NBC News report explains, the procedure is performed with the patient under sedation, as well as with local anesthesia. The skin is peeled away from the underlying tissue in the neck, at which point excess fat can be extracted. Excess skin is trimmed away and re-attached to the underlying tissues so that a firmer, smoother look is achieved.
The final result? Baum couldn’t be more satisfied. “I’m thrilled,” she says. “I think it looks great. I’m glad I did it. I think that now my neck matches my face. I feel great.”
Down time after the procedure is minimal, though you can expect some bruising and slight swelling. Several weeks may be required for the neck to heal completely.
In many cases, Dr. Loeb may perform a neck lift in conjunction with other procedures, such as liposuction or an eye lift.
